COLLEGE CONSULTANT

ABOUT LISA
Lisa received her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Public Relations with Honors from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Communications. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the School of Law at Hofstra University. Lisa is an Associate Member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC), Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and Higher Educational Consultants (HECA). She holds a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA’s Extension program.
As a parent of recent college graduates, Lisa also knows first hand the opportunities and challenges parents face when it’s time to begin envisioning higher education options. She brings a personal and understanding touch to college advising, while at the same time providing the kind of structure that the path to successful college admissions requires. Through her practice, she has found that in working with students on this intensive process, it relieves some of the pressures that can surface from the parent-child dynamic.
Dedicated to supporting all students, Lisa helped establish a Long Island-based community volunteer athletic and dance program pairing non-neurotypical students with neurotypical high school peer coaches. The program continues to flourish and Lisa remains involved as a student and family champion.
As an avid believer in higher education, Lisa continues to be inspired by the accomplishments of the students with whom she has worked.
